Program > Nota beneThe school lasts five days, the first and the last half-day are free in order to ease the journey, the installation and the departure of the participants. Each eight half-day is composed of a presentation of the state of the art, of the concerns and of the issues, another about the main tools and methods from the domain and finally a last period is dedicated to practically handle the tools on a computer. The last part of the week is dedicated to discussions about the opportunities and the possibilities of the presented methods and about their potential interactions. Tutors and participants are encouraged to illustrate their lecture with the study zone and notably by using the same open datasets from the “Grand Lyon” metropole. The two first evenings (Monday and Tuesday) are dedicated to a meeting time between the participants. They are invited to present themselves 5 minutes during a speed presenting session. Thursday afternoon is dedicated to a practical work session whose aim is to solve an urban planning issue by using tools and methods presented during the week. Each group (composed of 4 - 5 persons with a mix of thematicians/computer scientists) deals with different issues and the propositions are presented during a workshop organized in the evening. The rhythm is intense in order to maximise the benefit of the proximity of an important number of researchers (participants, presenters and organizers). A day is composed of four sessions of 1.5 hours. The evening is a time to take a global view through discussion sessions. Preliminary program:
